Digital Printing

Digital printing involves creating an image directly on paper from a digital source. This technique is especially useful for printing smaller runs and when personalization is needed on the printed product. Each sheet’s image surface is created separately, which can be utilized for printing variable data. (Wikipedia, cited 1.2.2010)

Nearly any file format can be used for digital printing. Formats like jpg, pdf, bmp, gif, eps, ai, idd, and so on are usually compatible. Photos and color gradients reproduce well. However, the image should be of the highest possible quality. For graphical images, it is recommended to save and send them as vector files to ensure the best print quality.
Color space should be CMYK, and the color profile should be U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2, with all rasterized images at least 300 dpi.

Additionally, a bleed of 2mm should be included in both the cutting path inwards and outwards. This ensures that the label’s content is protected.
